No way the engine of W3 can replicate the beauty of W1. The only way it could happen is as a remake using the new engine, and the only way I could see that happen is if Witcher 3 sells millions of copies on each console.

Truly destitute people living in the dank and dark corridors of the plague-ridden city. It uses a modified version of the NWN engine and the game is built around M+KB. Old Vizima in Witcher I feels so much more "Witcher-like" than Velen in Witcher III. There's something about the original game which is poetic af and makes me want to come back to it everytime. Lore wise, its infinitely closer to the books than the Witcher 3. The atmosphere of Witcher 1 melts beautifully with its music and ambience. Like I said, while I definitely would play a remastered Witcher 1, it will never live up to the original Witcher 1 in terms of authenticity.

I'd like Witcher 2 to stay as-is because I think its graphics are still fantastic, and some mods out there are great for it (Witcher 2 has a far better modkit than Witcher 3). Nah, it would actually be enhanced, IMO by having better graphics and I'd love to see them actually re-record a good bit of the voice acting in Witcher 1 as much of it was delivered in a very stiff manner. Every Witcher game is unique to its engine. The game would lose all its authenticity.
